Coast Guard Auxiliary Big Band Express CD Release of Top Hits

This 18 piece Big Band is reinterpreting rock music in the sound of swing. It is extraordinarily talented in swing-rock fusion. This introduction CD covers some of the very best tunes of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. There are obviously hundreds, if not thousands, more to choose from, I hope you like these initial choices.

Why cover these hits? Well, to fully appreciate swing fusion we use the sounds already embedded in all of us by these rock masterpieces. What is the hook of these translated rock tunes? The same as the originals except the superb musicianship, harmonies and intonation of the instrumentals explodes the tunes in bursts of sound, piercing the soul and raising the level of intensity.

The Coast Guard Auxiliary is very proud to introduce this first professional studio recording of Swing Rock Fusion. Our core Auxiliary mission is Recreational Boating Safety in support of the U.S. Coast Guard so why, you ask, are you promoting it with a music CD.

In our view music is the great communicator and facilitator. Songs make us laugh, cry, reminisce and inspire. Many of these tunes will remind us of our summer fun and boating experiences and when they are played we want all to hear the message to be safe on the water.
